Ahh, Robert Frost brings my soul to rest. His poetry is a song and the rhythm makes my heart beat slower. Some times I read him before bed, but Robert sounds best in the rain.
I think Robert Frost and I should have been lovers. Of course I think that me and many poets, painters, scientists and and other historic icons and fictional characters would have made a great pair.
Sometimes I think about the poetry Poe would have written about us. Would it have been beautiful and light, about my hair, my eyes. Would he have seen through me to the deeper corners, that is doubtful. Probably if we knew each other we would have kept a distance. We would see each other in the park or I would walk by late at night and our eyes would meet through a window, we would never really say anything. He would have noticed how I walked looking around as though I was lost, something I do often only because I am taking everything in. But at night I would walk with serenity, not so much to feel at night you see. He would have written about that.
Pony Boy from the Outsides, we think the same - Bach would have loved the way I could listen to him play the piano. On a Sunday morning, when it was calm and cool outside and the curtains blew up around the piano where we sat. Howard Huges, Spike from Cowboy BeBop, Alex Tribec, Rilke and Klimt, Mr. Deeds.
Oh, never this whelming east wind swells
But it seems like the sea's return
To the ancient lands where it left the shells
Before the age of the fern;
And it seems like the time when after doubt
Our love came back amain.
Oh, come forth into the storm and rout
And be my love in the rain.
-Frost
Ya, it would have been great.
